About Me
I understand how anxious thoughts, a “busy” brain, and unresolved emotional pain makes finding contentment and healthy relationships challenging.
My approach is grounded in inherent respect, dignity, and hope. I believe each of us is the expert of our own lives- individually, we contain vital knowledge of our inner world, events that have shaped us, our fears and our dreams.
I can empathize with the experience of feeling “stuck.” We are the experts of our own experience, yes, but what if by way of our experience we have slid into auto-pilot? Maybe things seem fine enough on the surface, but we become aware that moments of joy, awe, and connection are increasingly rare. What was once brightly colored and exciting now feels bland, beige, and boring. And perhaps not just boring, but existentially unsettling. You remember you wanted more. You deserve more.
What can we do if those default, auto-pilot settings are not cutting it anymore or worse, are actively keeping us from the life we want?

I am a licensed clinical social worker and psychotherapist. Through working with me, you can expect to gain insight, or a deeper understanding of yourself, and cultivate a sense of self-compassion. By way of nonjudgmental curiosity and a safe setting, together we can explore your relationships, attachments, and sources of pain and pride.

Financial social work
In addition to the credentials described above, I am also certified in financial social work (FSW). This methodology is a reflective, strengths-based approach that engages, educates, motivates, and supports clients in healing their relationship with their money and with themselves to create sustainable, long-term financial wellbeing.
Financial problems can be debilitating and incredibly stressful. Many of us have persistent anxieties and trauma linked to the pressures and very real disparities created by living in a capitalist society. I offer nonjudgmental, exploratory, and empowering counseling services for individuals who are interested in examining the thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and beliefs that determine their financial behavior. Broadly, this includes how one earns, spends, saves, shares, and borrows.
This work focuses on a client-driven need to heal their relationship with their money and with themselves. FSW is grounded in the recognition of common humanity- or shared human experience- navigating inequity and systemic discrimination. The founder, Reeta Wolfsohn, developed this process because it is common to become overwhelmed by financial problems we were not able to prevent and also do not know how to fix. When we are in that space, we are not in a position to learn or practice new money management skills and tools.
These services are provided via a secure telehealth platform. This work is not a substitute for financial advice from a trained professional financial advisor, accountant, or organization.
